WFH 2022: Athleisure is the new business casual
Here is another 3 day round up of my WFH outfits this week. Just like the last few weeks, athleisure has been a major component of my current wardrobe rotation.
First up is leggings and a sweatshirt. This sweatshirt is more of a scuba material so it looks a little bit more slick than maybe a cotton sweatshirt. I rolled up the sleeves and paired it with my Poppy Barley slippers (click here to read the blog post review).
This outfit isn't super fancy, flattering or exciting - but it was super cozy. Although I will say the turquoise socks are throwing me off!
Second up is this beautiful blouse. I really love this top because it's so flowy and romantic while still being a little bit of a unique colour and texture. I love the "cropped" peplum style and it pairs perfectly with leggings for a WFH look. You can see here that my phone case has changed! Back in 2019, I wrote a review on my floral & yellow phone case from Kaseme. That phone case was still going strong but it had a few scratches and some fading, so I decided to switch things up a bit with a new case. As always, I purchased it with my own money - and I'm really happy with this new design (although it does pull more pale pink than beige, it looked more beige on their website). The exact case is linked: here.
Most of the time, if I have super important meetings over Zoom, I'll wear a nice blouse throughout the day - even with leggings. If I were going out, I'd just swap the leggings for jeans - not only to be more cohesive but also because it's been really cold outside recently!
Last but not least is another super athleisure look. I'm wearing a running top in a sage green colour and a pair of high waisted "trousers" that are made in a stretchy material. I think these faux-trousers will be an amazing staple when I head back into the office.
I'm going to make an active effort to try to document more than 3 days of outfits next time, that way it's possible to see a whole well-rounded week. But day to day it really is mostly athleisure, with a blouse thrown in when necessary. I'm really looking forward to the warmer weather because I miss wearing dresses! They are so comfy and create an instant outfit, which I love.
